Teeth Whitening
When we meet someone for the first time, we are impressed by his personality and this determines our reaction. The face is the image of the soul. Besides the expression, it largely determines the way we are perceived by others. What is the most important thing? Eyes. Hairstyle. Undoubtedly, one of the most important factors that influence our response is the smile. And one of the most important features of the smile is its color.
Have you always dreamed of a whiter smile?
Teeth whitening is one of the easiest and quickest ways to change your smile. It is a harmless method based on peroxide. It provides quick and lasting results. This is due to the oxidation of chromatogenic materials of atomic oxygen, separated from the peroxide. The reason for teeth discoloration can be certain foods and beverages such as red wine, coffee, cola, black tea, intake of tetracycline during the second half of pregnancy to seven years of age, cigarettes (the tar), staining of fluorine, of chlorhexidine, which is a component of mouthwashes as anti-plaque agent, age-related changes, injuries due to bleeding in the teeth, some means for filling root canals.
Bleaching necessarily begins with cleaning and polishing the teeth. There are two main ways of teeth whitening:
1. Professional teeth whitening at home
This is the most common form of teeth whitening. This method provides the most predictable results. It involves custom-made bleaching splints and syringes containing a safe bleaching gel. The whitening gel for home use is usually with large viscosity, nice flavor and consists of carbamide peroxide in different concentrations. The systems that we offer at Smile clinic contain fluoride, which strengthens enamel. Tooth whitening usually includes two short visits to the dentist. During the first visit we take prints for making individual splints and the second time is for receiving the splints as well as the whitening agent. The whitening process is gradual. Therefore, you can control the amount of achieved whitening.
2. Clinical (office) whitening
The most used bleaching agent for whitening is hydrogen peroxide in 30-35% concentration. Clinical tooth whitening is carried out only in a dental office with proper protection of the soft oral tissues. Special light activates the process and your teeth become white just in 40 minutes.
Аt "Smile Clinic" we work with over 10 different brands bleaching systems (most places use no more than 2-3). This allows us to choose the most adequate system for you.
